Attention Business Owners!

Do you accept credit and debit cards for payment? Tennessee State Bank can help!

Don’t become liable for fraudulent transactions after October 1, 2015 because your credit card terminal is not EMV ready! Did you know that if your terminal is not EMV ready you, will be responsible for any fraudulent transactions occurring at your POS terminal after October 2015? What does “EMV” mean? EMV stands for Europay, MasterCard and Visa. It is a global standard for inter-operation of integrated circuit cards (IC cards or "chip cards") and IC card capable point of sale (POS) terminals and automated teller machines (ATMs), for authenticating credit and debit card transactions. This process is to help reduce fraud.  The goal is to have all credit card terminals “EMV ready” by October 1, 2015.
