Donations & Scholarships

Throughout the year, employees of Tennessee State Bank donate each Friday for the privilege of wearing jeans and in turn, donate those funds to area charities. Some of the recipients that receive donations in Sevier County are Salvation Army, Teen Christmas and the Sevier County Food Ministry. Donations are also made to surrounding counties where you find a Tennessee State Bank branch. In Jefferson County, donations are made to Appalachian Outreach, Second Harvest in Knox County and in Cocke County, Feed My Sheep and the local Boys and Girls Club.

Tennessee State Bank offers the Frances Childress Special Friends Scholarship.  The scholarship is given in memory of Mrs. Frances Childress and her dedication to individuals with disabilities.  She worked in Sevier County Schools as a Special Education Professional for 17 years.  The Frances Childress Special Friends Scholarship recognizes a high school senior from local high schools for showing compassion to fellow students with special needs.
